dr n. med. Marcin Szerszeń
He graduated in dental techniques in 2012, and then in dentistry from the Medical University of Warsaw in 2017. While studying, as the chairman of the Scientific Society at the Department of Dental Surgery, he completed an internship at the SwedenMartina implant-prosthetic research and production center in Padua, Italy. During his studies, he was a board member of the Warsaw branch of the Polish Dental Students Association, responsible for organizing training courses and conferences. After obtaining a dentist diploma, he undertook postgraduate studies in the field of Management of Health Care Institutions at the Warsaw School of Economics. In 2021, he obtained the title of doctor of medical sciences in the field of dentistry specialized in dental prosthetics. Since 2017, he has been working at the Department of Dental Prosthetics at the Medical University of Warsaw as a lecturer and then a research and teaching assistant. From 2020, he is a member of the Specialist Implantology Team at the Department of Dental Prosthetics.
He is the tutor of the Student Scientific Society of Dental Prosthetics operating at the Student Scientific Society of the Medical University of Warsaw. For many years he has been a rewiever and since 2021 a member of the editorial team of the journal Dental Prosthetics published by the Polish Society of Dentistry. Three times awarded with the didactic award of the rector of the Medical University of Warsaw.
In addition, he raised his qualifications at numerous courses and trainings nationally and abroad. Author and co-author of over 25 publications.
Research interests and scientific achievements in the field of dental prosthetics, digital dentistry and implant-prosthetics mainly regard digitization of clinical processes, minimally invasive teeth preparation techniques, the evaluation of new biomaterials and physico-chemical tests of clinically used dental materials.
